"We're not arguing that he's going to be in war for a hundred years. We don't think we ought to be in Iraq for a hundred years under any circumstances," Dean said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Is this the view of the Democratic Party? They favor the policies of pre-WW2?
nooooo, did you not listen? He said he doesn't think we should have a permanent military presence in Iraq because it will always subject us to attacks. They (the mid-east) don't even like us where we were at over there before the Iraq thing. He did not say we should withdraw from the world and be isolationists. Stop exaggerating to make a point, because it usually means you don't have much of a point to start with.
His words were "We don't think we ought to be in Iraq for a hundred years under any circumstances". That's pretty clear. Stop saying that people are saying things they didn't say. That usually means you're trying to cover for them.
No, I"m not saying he didn't say that. But using a term like pre-ww2 makes it sound like he doesn't think we should be based anywhere in the world. He was only talking about Iraq.
